About Robert
Robert F. McDougall was named Deputy Attorney General by Vermont Attorney General Charity R. Clark in January of 2023. Rob has worked in the Vermont Attorney General’s Office for over 20 years and has served in four of its divisions, including Human Services, General Counsel and Administrative Law (GCAL), Environmental Protection, and Public/Consumer Protection. He is a seasoned litigator who has practiced in all levels of Vermont courts. Before he was named Deputy Attorney General, Rob served as Chief of the Attorney General Office’s Environmental Protection Division for six years under three prior Attorney Generals. Rob has a Juris Doctor and Master of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and is a 1999 graduate of Lyndon State College.
